Maybe the best info on the Meteor ops in WW2 can be found in Chris Shores 2nd TAF history in volume 3, published by Midland/Classic;
you will even find profiles of the Meteor inside there.

other than that, there is the Peter Caygill book "Jet Jockeys", which deals with piloting the early British jet fighters.
you will find some pilot accounts in there and even some thoughts about the relative merits of a Meteor vs a Me-262 or Vampire.
a very interesting book as well.

in Ethell's and Price's World War II Fighting Jets (Airlife 1994) there are 14 pages on Meteor.

Isnīt there a recent Aerofax on the Meteor, with some 176 pages devoted to it:)
