Re: E-bay question - wrecked Hurricane France 1940
Could it be a Kestrel-engined Master ?

Re: E-bay question - wrecked Hurricane France 1940
I would say spot on Udf :)
The under belly air intake fits and also the (now missing glass) landing light in the port wing. A number of Miles aircraft were taken to France and used as 'hacks' and this seems to be one of them. Cheers Stig |
Re: E-bay question - wrecked Hurricane France 1940
At least two Masters were used, not as hacks, but to convert Gladiator pilots from 607 and 615 Squadrons onto the Hurricane.

Faenor
I would say you have a mix of two Hurricanes and a single Master in these three shots. Cheers Stig |

Hi,
The caption gives Auchy-au-bois and this village is just beside (south) of the airfield of Norrent-Fontes/Rely. HTH Bertrand |
