american Catalina's squadron in Australia

Hello,

On 21 and 22 April 1942, a Catalina spotted a life boat with 11 airmen of 84 Squadron, on a small island on the N.W coast of Australia.
They came from Java after 47 days at sea under the leading of W/C J R Jeudwine ,C/O of 84 Squadron.
They were rescued and took to Sharks Bay base. The pilot was Paul Stevens, an american.
I would like to know what was the squadron of this Catalina, and if it is possible to get the ORB of the squadron , to get the names of the crew and its report .
Thank you for your help .

The squadron was VP-21 only recently arrived in Australia with 12 PBY-5s to reinforce PatWing 10 ex- the Philippines and N.E.I. However, VP-21 was soon thereafter merged with VP-101. Details might be found in the historries of either of thise squadrons.
