Sgt Mills 77 Sqn
The above was on the Sqn May 1941-any idea of his initials as F540 doesn't list them

Re: Sgt Mills 77 Sqn
If Sgt Maurice William Mills RAFVR (1464204) is your man, then
SUPPLEMENT TO THE LONDON GAZETTE, 14 NOVEMBER, 1944 p5206 Distinguished Flying Cross. ............................... Acting Flight Lieutenants ............................................. John Hugh BLACKADDER (144582), R.A.F.V.R., 635 Sqn (sorry, couldn't resist!) ................................................ Maurice William MILLS (174624), R.A.F.V.R., 35 Sqn. gives you his commissioned Service Number |
Re: Sgt Mills 77 Sqn
Andy: Unlikely that your Mills is the same as 1941
Icare: Possible but without a date and Sqn in 1941 and such a common name hard to say |
Re: Sgt Mills 77 Sqn
Chris,
Pretty safe to rule out Maurice William Mills as your man. His NCO number is in the middle of a block issued: 1425001 to 1474999 Apr 1941 Cardington Regards, Dave |
