Crew Me 110 ?
 

Hello,
I'm looking for information about the crew of a Me110 which crashed in the night of 26/27 March 1945 near Velthorst/Zelhem. Have been looking in many lists on the net but was unable to find something.

Hi Jef,

3. Jagddivision reported one aircraft missing and seven destroyed during Nachtschlacht missions against the Allied bridgehead across the Rhine at Wesel on the night of 26-27 March 1945.

The only definite Bf110 losses have information for are:

Bf110G-4 G9+KC - Stab II./NJG1 - Lt. Werner Barthel - crashed near Lintorf at 22.30 hrs, shot down by a Mosquito

prob. Bf110 - IV./NJG1 - Lt. Ludwig Kraut - initially reported missing (ULTRA in HW 5/687, CX/MSS/R.509/C/9):

"Report signed NABBE 1, Adjutant, to GENRO 3 ((IIB)) dated 27/3:- Missing Report No. 28 26-27/3. Lt. Ludwig KRAUT, pilot NIBON ((10./NJG)) 1 26-27/3; Uffz. Hans DODEN, a/c W/T operator NIBON ((10./NJG)) 1 26-27/3; ?? Eberhardt HEINRICH, air gunner ((10./NJG)) 1 26-27/3"


I have no information on a crash site, but air gunner Flgr. Heinrich Eberhardt (born 23/3/1925) is buried in Block CR, Reihe 10, Grab 241, at the Ysselsteyn Kriegsgräberstätte.

Hi Jef,

it's probably pertinent to add that F/L Stewart RNZAF and F/O Brumby RNZAF in 488 Squadron Mosquito NT263 claimed a Me110 destroyed at 00.05 hrs on 27 March, "8 miles N.W. of Bocholt" (at map grid ref "A.1373" = 51 56 55 N, 06 28 19 E).

Since more than 30 years I have these relics from a Dutch salvage group. And I didn't even know the name of the crew.
With a lot of respect I will adjust the information on the display.

Hello,
Aircraft crashed near Zelhem at Halle. 27-03-1945 at 00.05 h
Near Mr Veldhorst, Jolinkdijk.
Flg Eberhardt Heinrich "mit geschlossenen Fallschirm tot aufgefunden"
Buried in Doetinchem, now Ysselsteyn. CR-10-241
Aircraft recovered by AVOG
