Luftwaffe losses around Kiev on 03.11.1943.

Hallo gentlemen!

Could You please help me with Luftwaffe losses around Kiev on 03.11.1943?

Especially interested in:

Fw190-equipped units (JG54, SG's)
Ju87 equipped units (SG2/SG77, II./St.G.77, II./St.G.2)
Fw189's
Bf109's (recooners?)

Hi Evgeny

According to Die Jagdfliegerverbände der Deutschen Luftwaffe Teil 12/III by Prien, I./JG 54 did not suffer any losses that day and the only loss suffered by II./JG 54 was the following:

Fw 190 A-4 (W.Nr. 0147 112) of 5./JG 54, undercarriage failure at Kiew-Süd, 85% - non-operational

I hope this helps.

Horrido!

Leo

Deutche Wochenschau show at least one of 8 Fw190's of 5./JG54, wich were left in Kiev-West airfield. It had damaged wingtip.

Also, in Hannig's book, there is one Fw190 with "jammed guns" mentioned.

Also, Hannig state, that only 1 Fw190 was left in Kiev when 7 Fw190 took off to Belaya Tserkov to join man part of II./JG54.

So, it is strange to read about "undercarriage failure"...

Gentlemen:

Any II./SG2 losses in Fw190's?

St.G.77 (SG77) losses in Ju87D's?

What units could lost Ju88 bombers there on that date? He111?
