Can anyone provide information on the loss of Gefreiter Max Zott who was killed on the 27th September 1940 on a mission against England? Thanks Rick |

1940-09-27, 5./KG 77, Ju 88 A-1, 887109, 3Z+GN, 9 km von Beachy Head, 4 km südwestlich Eastbourne, Sussex, Absturz in See infolge Jägerbeschuß. Bruch 100 %.

The body of Max Zott was washed ashore at Crow Link Gap, west of Beachey Head on the 1st November. He was originally buried at Friston (St Mary) Churchyard, and is now buried at Cannock Chase, Block 4, Grave 166.
