B24L serial number 44-49392

Hello,

Am looking for the Bomber Group(s) that B-24L 44-49392 served with.

At some time in its service life it was with the 454Bomb Group/737BS and carried the name "Sub-Depot Susy".

But is anything known of any other Bomb Group service ?

It served out the war and is recorded in Joe Baugher's Lists as -
44-49392 to RFC Walnut Ridge Jan 17, 1946.

Thanks in advance
Alex

Thank you, it is a little hard to read but in general gives some information that confirms that it returned to the US. But as I read it does it show anything of the Bomber Units it was with,as I can see nothing about them ?
Great website though, I had forgotten about it :(
Thanks again
Sending a pm
Alex

Thanks for the photo link.
5AAF so obviously not the one.
However Although I was given that the a/c was a B24L it now appears that the true serial number was -
44-50392 which turns out to be an "M".
Reference was the 456BG website.

Almost bottom of the list, also pilots name :)

Thank you every one for your input.
Alex
