Re: Samourai sur Porte-Avions, Tome 1
Why no comparable book in English? Why we basically have no new research on Japanese aircraft in English? Basically what we get is recycled Francillon. Sickening!

Re: Samourai sur Porte-Avions, Tome 1
..best the publisher could do was put up the photo captions in English, there are hundreds of them..

Re: Samourai sur Porte-Avions, Tome 1
Why not publishing it in English only? Or perhaps one should ask that why can't British publishers publish such works given the fact that there must be 20 enthusiasts capable of reading English to every enthusiast speaking French.

Re: Samourai sur Porte-Avions, Tome 1
Why a French publisher should release its books in english?
The first edition was a success, and sold out a long time ago. The story shouldn't be different with this one. |
Re: Samourai sur Porte-Avions, Tome 1
To serve a much wider circle of readers.

Re: Samourai sur Porte-Avions, Tome 1
Serve a much wider circle of potential readers is different to serve an actual number of buyer. You should read Erik Mombeeck post on this very forum about why there's only one JG 2 book in English while there is multiple volumes in French and German. English readers do not buy big books such as these ones.

Re: Samourai sur Porte-Avions, Tome 1
I do not think Mombeeck's experience is valid for general saleability. E.g. the supermassive Kursk book has sold very well despite a price tag of closer to $200. The same goes for quite expensive books from Leaping Horseman. The main problem with Mombeeck's isthe poor marketing, including availability.
