Major. Horst Adameit's first two Western victories

I'm trying to find some background on Horst Adameit's, I/JG-54, first two Western victories. According to various sources, including Obermaier, he shot down his first kill on Sep. 18,1940 and was shot down after.
The loss is listed by Prien (4/II) as:
1,/JG-54 Fe, Horst Adameit Luftkampf, Absturz in die See Bf-109E-1
(Wrk No.) 6220

The problem is although three pilots of 2./JG-54 claimed three Spitfires
(Fw. Friske, Fw. Schunk and Fw. Fuchs) from 1805-1815, there is no victory listing for Fw, Adameit. Similarly, his claim for a Aufklarer Spitfire on October 4,1940 is also not recorded. There were no Recon Spitfires lost on this date. Any thoughts?

The name was Ademeit. His first was recorded on 23-Jun-41. Note that the claims list included in the Prien JFV series supercedes any previously published lists, including his own from his earlier works on JG 3, JG 53, etc.

Ademeit, Horst, Fw., 23-Jun-41, 1., I., JG 54, SB-2, PlQu. 25 25 l.u.: 300m, 10.13, 1., 67, , yes, C.2034, Anerk: Nr. 156, Prien/Bock,

The probable explanation of this is that Ademeit made two claims on 18 Sep and 4 Oct 1940 but they were rejected. Anyway they still appear in documents available to Obermaier and so appear in his book.

As Jim said, Obermaier is now heavily outdated.

For your information.
According to Alois Riebl's "Leben und Einsatz einer Jagdfliegergruppe. Chronik der I./JG 54 1939-1945" from May 1st, 1982 and I quote:"Ende Oktober(1940, J.W.) wird ein kleines Kommando nach Holland nach Groningen-Eelde verlegd, das aber bald wieder zurückbefohlen wird. Der Feldwebel Ademeit kann über der deutschen Bucht eine Spitfire zum Absturz bringen und ein paar Tage später hat Leutnant Otto Vincent einen Luftzieg zu verzeichnen."
Riebl was a member of I./JG 54 from September 1939 till January 6th, 1945.

Just to add fuel to the fire, looking through "Die Grunherz Jaeger" by Werner Held, I found this passage:
"Die 3 Staffel unter Oberleutnant Schmoller-Hardy liegt in Marz 1941 in Groningen/Elde. Von hier aus schiesst Leutnant Vinzent eine Spitfire ab." (p77).
