Jack,
This is the fifth American ace to die this month. Mike Quirk, Paul Murphey, Warren Lewis, Frank Gaunt and now Roger Hedrick.

I am very much afraid this is going to be a very bad year.

Frank.

Frank,

Can you give us the details on date and place for those other aces who passed away this month?

Thanks,

Re: Roger Hedrick-RIP

Tom,

Mike Quirk died Jan 5, in Florida (a copy of the obit is being sent to me)
Roger Hedrick died Jan 10, in Newport Beach, California
Warren Lewis died Jan 13, in Austin, Texas
Frank Gaunt died Jan 15, in Fresno, California
Paul Murphey died Jan 16, in Waco, Texas

18 died last year, which is low, which may mean there are additional ones I do not know about.

Frank.

Thanks, Frank. The ranks of the veterans of WW2 are thinning fast.

I have confirmed two Polish the Few and three Polish aces being still alive. Within few years there will be none.
