Looking for info Franz Himmel - 25/7/44

Hi,
i'm looking for info about Obergefreiter Franz Himmel.
He was a bordfunker in a Kampfgeschwader.
Born on 23/9/1922 (according Volksbund 23/9/1923) and killed by a flying-accident on 25/7/44.
Buried in Belgium, Lommel Block 46 grave 415.

So he was a Bordschütze and not a Bordfunker ? On his deathcard is he a Bordfunker.

Maybe he was just flying as the gunner on that day?
