American gun-synchronization E-4/E-8
 

Hi All.
Can anyone point me towards some information on the E-4 gun-synchronization system used in the P-39s, long-nose P-40, Allison-engine Mustangs, Brewster Buffalos, SBDs, etc? Drawings, photos, weight information, etc? There doesn't seem to be much on the net listed under the E-4 (or the later E-8) designation. Perhaps someone has come across some details in an engine manual?

Very useful weights and drawings - it ties in nicely with some general notes and comments I'd previously gathered.

Though I can see that I'm going to be severely sidetracked in looking for some of the other volumes - eg. Vol 1 on Turbosuperchargers. ;)
