Is that document reference correct?

RL 36/5 seems to relate to a single test report on the He 111 according to Invenio:

Bd. 5: Heinkel He 111 H-1 und H-2.- Erprobungs-Nr. 1395, Bearbeiter: Ziegler

The only losses even close are two Beaufighters of 254 Sqn on a shipping strike off Den Haag (52.10N 04.08E) - JL953 and JM222

Unless it was the night of 21/22, where a few Wellingtons were lost over the North Sea

Hi Alain,

The two Beaufighters are mentioned in the SGLO Loss Register :

https://verliesregister.studiegroepl...lts?sglo=T2490

https://verliesregister.studiegroepl...lts?sglo=T2489

with T/O at 15h47

so this doesn't match with the German report.

best regards

Luc

All the Wellingtons were back in England by around 05:00 hrs because dawn was about 05:30 hrs BDST.

Even a straggler is not going to be about over Belgium at 09:00 hrs

13 Mitchells of 98 and 180 Sqn went to Rotterdam 07:30 to 09:30, but they all came back

Suggest your a/c was German
