Information concerning loss of Obergefreiter Alfred Kropf - killed November 1942

Hi

Can anyone provide information on the loss of bordfunker Obergefreiter Alfred Kropf who was killed over the channel coast in November 1942?

He was 22 years old and was a bordfunker in the LDK?

Thanks

Rick

Looking at Fighter Command claims P/O Bethell of 268 Sqd claimed a Bf 109 and a Ju 52 the latter coming down by Oldebroek . A crewman attempted to bale out at low altitude from the rear door the chute streamed but did not develop . Alfred Kropf is buried Ysselsteyn block CW Row 4 Grave 100 while the name for grave 99 is for Ogef. Rudolf Schimmerer . Possible wrong i.d. of a W 34 for a Ju 52 ?

Hello Brian,

Yes, I think so.
Now I am trying to figure out the crash location of the W.34.

Does someone know what location is noted in RL 2-III/774?

The Klemm came down at the 'Stadsweiden' in Harderwijk. According to the SGLO (Dutch) loss register and the WASt-Gräberkartei (1 km südwestlich Harderwijk).

Kind regards, Timon
