Attack on trains after D-day, north Belgium
Hi,
Witch fightergroup, squadrons, USAAF or RAF where involved in attacks on trains in the period between D-day and september 1944 above Nort-east Belgium? In this period some fighters stopped a train close to my grandparrents house... Are there any ORB's, claimlists or dayreports? Regards, Wim |

In the USSBS files at NARA, there is Entry 23, 2.o.(22) Summary, strafing attacks on transportation targets by First Air Force, Eight Air Force, Ninth Air Force, Twelfth Air Force and Fifteenth Air Force:
a) by city (5 Vols.) b) by date (5 Vols.) I don't know what is contained in there, but it might be a starting point. Kind regards, Daniel |

Could you narrow the time of search ? To a specific date or week ? Otherwise there are 10.000+ possibilities. Carsten |
