RAF Bombing Raids over Germany in August 1940

Hi,
looking for an overwiev about RAF Bombing Raid over South Germany for August 1940. In the night 27th / 28th August there was a single plane (propably RAF) dropping its bombs near the village Eitensheim in the area Ingolstadt/Bavaria.

Looking for any informations about that mission.

thanks

Hi,

Details from "Bomber Command War Diaries" by Middlebrook & Everitt.

50 Hampdens, Wellingtons and Whitleys to many targets in Germany, Italy and France and Minelaying.
1 Wellington lost.

From Bomber Command Losses vol1 by Chorley

149 Sqdn Wellington Ic P9272 "OJ-A" opp: Kiel
T/o 2022 Mildenhall to bomb dockyard facilities. All reported pow.

Not the aircraft you seek, sorry, looks like they were well spread over Europe that night.

Hi Alex,

Thanks for your answer.
I'm just looking for the Target, must be anywhere in South Germany (Bavaria)

Perhaps anyone has other sources for mission reports over Germany that night?

Best Regards
Stefan
