Quote:
1. Photos not visible: this is due to the bad habits of some eBay sellers who took advantage of this collection for "lifting" both the photos and their caption, and then selling them for 3.99 Euros apiece, multiple reprints of course. No other choice then to protect all unmarked photos. 2. Yes, i know J.-C. M's booklet. A tad too oriented on synthesis, but well documented. Cheers Marc |

Re: Late war Bf 109 pictures source
Hi there Gang,
Browsing through the Bundesarchiv records, I found this set of three photos depicting a II./JG 51 Bf 109 G-6, photographed 1943 in Southern Italy: https://www.bild.bundesarchiv.de/arc...466892/?search[view]=detail&search[focus]=160 https://www.flickr.com/photos/280920...in/dateposted/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/280920...in/dateposted/ According th Michael Holm's site, II./JG 53 was indeed at Casa Zeppera between May and 10 July 1943 but had also detachments at Cagliari-Monserato and Senorbia. Hence my question: any idea about the actual location for this set ? Thanks in advance Marc |
