US Navy T4-F Skyhawk BirdStrike 2 Dec 1969

On 2nd Dec 1969 a VA-44 T4-F Skyhawk sufferers A bird strike (Duck) in Florida

The Instructor was badly injured and ejected the student USN John Wilson landed the plane at Tallahassee airport

The instructor was a RNZAF pilot who was blinded by the bird and could not see or communicate with Student so has no option but to vacate the aircraft

He was Sqd Ldr W.R. Donaldson lost an eye and never flew again

The question is can anyone ID the T4-F involved (it was probably repaired as I cannot find a loss on that date and John Wilson’s full details

Thanks

Paul
