I have been waiting for seven years now for this!!!

I wonder if there will be a part 4 as this volume covers the years 1943-44.

Gentlemen,

I just finished my copy today - very well done!!! A typical Mombeeck, again with a lot of very interesting personal accounts - great!!! And I'm very glad about a "Vol. 4"...

Maybe only my point of view: After reading this book (published in German language), I'm sure that many personal accounts would have suffered (at least "minor damage") during translation...

I've nothing against Neil (your tranlations are great!); but IMHO some of the mentioned accounts are not translateable without loosing at least a little bit of the original intentions...

So, a very big THANK YOU to Eric!!!

Alexander

Thanks ! - I guess...
don't worry - I/we usually get the veterans to comment and review 'their' material where possible - especially helpful where the gentlemen have done a lot of flying post-war and have decent English...(Spoden, Schenk etc etc..).

Glad you enjoyed the book - it'll be a while before this one appears in English...

I recieved my copy of the fourth volume a couple days back. Great stuff as always in Mombeek's books. I read some 50 pages already and it's very nice indeed. The personal accounts are really interesting and give a nice insight in the Geschwader.
It is also nice to have the series complete now!

I didn't buy these books when everybody else did and so I had to wait for the reprint edition. I bought all four books at once and read them at once! I can only say that this is the definite MUST HAVE for anyone interested in Luftwaffe. Brilliant books, brilliant text and fantastic photographs!
