Please can anyone provide details on the loss of Lt. Heinrich Merks who was killed on the 18.12.1943?

18.12. 7./Schl.G. 3 kein Feindflug, Pl.Qu. 2557 Absturz in See infolge Motorstörung, Ju 87 D 110993.
