Nothing on Metrovick? IMHO it'd be interesting to compare the first British attempt to produce an axial-flow jet engine to German experience.

It would be far more interesting to have a book comparing the respective piston aero engine industries.

No single book like this exists, only "overview" books. Of course, there are books about individual manufacturers but that would be expensive.
