Ju 87D T6+DP
Thanks to Ed West for another great find.
What info, if any, on this aircraft. Unit? Location? Time period? Appears to be coded T6+DP (not R), Yellow D, with a white fuselage band Field camouflage appears to be 79. http://www.ebay.de/itm/Foto-Luftwaff...item58b780bd4e http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e4...ps9b851f0c.jpg http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e4...psb41df985.jpg http://i36.photobucket.com/albums/e4...psb05a403b.jpg |
Re: Ju 87D T6+DP
The last letter must be P, because the individual letter seems to be yellow rather than white.
The version was most probably D-1 (with the old type spats like the B and R versions). |

Two photos of similar Stukas can be found in Stukas! by Herbert Léonard (this one had a yellow cowling, the pic shows the cockpit area, wing root etc. - i.e. the right side - and the Staffel letter "P") and Stukas over the Mediterranean by Peter C. Smith in the Luftwaffe at War series (here the whole left side is visible but the wing hides the Geschwader codes; the forward part of the spinner is yellow; it's a D-1 with early spats with sirens and drop tanks under the wings). Both carry the same camouflage scheme as T6+DP.
