Henk, it is a place where you can upload your images to. From there you can link the image file using the image icon on the web site you want to post your image.

Triangle G on Tail Tells us the B - 17
was from the 305th BG.

there is a complete series of this fotos aviaible at the Bundesarchiv in Koblenz, inscription there reads B-17 downed 1943 in northern germany.

All that i saw was one photo of three dead airmen ...
I went back and then saw the tail end of a wreck with a Triangle marking.
Could be a "G" or an "S".
Camouflaged with "Star & Bar" would that help date the 1943 time for loss ?
"Star & Bar" with blue suround from 17th September 43, earlier one had Red suround from 29th June 43.
"Fortresses of the Big Triangle" by Cliff T. Bishop may help with this as most if not all losses are noted in the book for both Bomber Groups up until 31st March 44.

I have the feeling, that this was the Eygelshoven B-17 from the Schweinfurt raid. The tail and three men came down in Holland, while the nose came down in Germany near Finkenrath. Danny
