Hey Chris - I MIGHT have one of cousin Mike there somewhere in my archives, but I'm not certain. Someone sent me a ton of Hauers from JG77 and JG54, but no way of telling who was who.

I don't have any in the family archives either, of him, oddly enough. But yeah, I can dig up what I have and send it to you in a PM if you want.

It has been suggested this is Ströhlein; Dr Jochen Prien cannot confirm one way or another so can anyone else?

Possibly Werner Mölders in the foreground but sorry I don't know who the other man is.

Definitely Mölders

Mölders and...?

With this picture here the man is easy to recognize. There is a fairly high possibility that Mölders is discussing with this pilot, or receiving his first account of action after landing, this man being a member of Mölders' unit: either JG 53 or JG 51. We only need to screen all books and articles published on these units: with a little luck we'll find this guy. Nothing is certain but if there is a photograph of this man in a book it can be found quickly.

Hi Chris - holidays got away from me.

Here are the Hauers from JG54 and JG77 - at least to my knowledge. The kind gent that sent them sorted them out for me, but no first names were given.

(the third one especially - my family has a strong resemblance to him, especially my son.)

Cori
Thanks for these but without names, not much use to me in finding this mysterious Michael Hauer. In any case most appear to be non-aircrew?

Hi Chris

Your image attributed as Ströhlein is either Hans von Hahn or another Gruppenkommandeur whose name escapes me (old age)

I have four other images of Fritz Ströhlein of JG 51 PM me for copies.

I also have a group image with Gottfried Schlitzer

Two small grainy images of Adolf Kinzinger
