8 June 1945 RT642 Auster V 131 Wing

Hi,

On 8/06/1945 Auster V RT642 of 131 Wing was damaged during a landing, due to fuel shortage, on the disused airfield of Deurne (Belgium), which was used as parking for vehicles. This accident is not mentioned in the orb of the wing (AIR 26/192).

Are any additional details known, sa the name of the pilot ?

Many thanks and best regards

Luc

Looks like there was only one occupant and no casualties.
The links did not work for me :(

Colin Cummings has it in "The Price of Peace", Page 168.
"The aircraft ran out of fuel, simply because the pilot exceeded the aircrafts endurance and its engine stopped.
The pilot attempted to land on the grass beside the runway of a disused airfield, which was being used as a vehicle park.
A wheel went into a rut in the ground and the undercarriage collapsed.".
Nothing further about the pilot who was the only person aboard according to the aviation-safety .net link.
