He70 Pilot name (in 1934)

I have three different spellings for a He70 pilot :

Schnuhave
Finuhage
Schnuhage

He was flying the He70 D-AHUX that crashed on 3 November 1934 in the south west of France, near Carcassonne, on its way to Rio, from Stuttgart.

which one is the good one ?

Thanks for your help.

Gilles,

A Dutch newspaper of 5.11.1934 adds to the confusion: it tells of Schuschage..
Flight engineer apparently Kriegbrünner (?).

But, wasn't the He 70 D-UHUX instead of D-AHUX?

Leendert

Gilles,

Did some further browsing and found in a German newspaper (I think they are best placed to spell the names here...): Fliegerkapitän Schneehage.

Thanks, Leendert,

yes, you are right, it was D-UHUX

and the second occupant was Kriegbrünner.

Browsing the German newspaper as you suggest would be a good idea, and I look forward to some German friend helping me in this regard.

Have a nice week-end

With the name Schnechage I found an item in the newspaper L'Est Republicain of 5 Nov 1934: pilot Heinrich Schechage and engineer-radioman Fritz Branner...

Getting closer of more confused?

Leendert
