ID request pilot 325th FG
The expert/s of 325th FG perhaps would recognize this
pilot seen here end of Aug 1944 at Ops Reunion at Leordeni Airfield ? Alex K |
Re: ID request pilot 325th FG
From pictures in the Squadron/Signal "Checkertails" book .
Two look very similar. Lt. Dan Penrod ( 317th Sqn) OR Mag. Ralph Johnson ( 319th Sqn ). Definitely not Frances Langford ;) |
Re: ID request pilot 325th FG
Thanks for your feedback , I have only the "Checkertail Clan " therefore unable to verify maybe you could post the photos of the two pilots in question mentioned ?

Re: ID request pilot 325th FG
There is a group of 325th pilots here, including Penrod. None appear (to me at least) to be good matches. Also some of the photos are not very good.

Re: ID request pilot 325th FG
Thanks very much for your link and photos , I fully agree with you . Perhaps a hind this pilot wearing Romanian souveniers ranks on his epaulttes took back to San Severo the "Sweet Clara II" ,presumably was a regular pilot of that Mustang
