KG 1 He 111 Dixmude
Without ploughing through the books, can anyone link V4+JL to crash-landing at Dixmude (Dixsmuide) in Belgium in 1940?

Re: KG 1 He 111 Dixmude
Hi Chris,
Looking at some old notes, I have got a He 111 of I./KG1 down at Veurne May 29th 1940. FF Fw Alex Braun KIA. Veurne is right next to Diksmuide but I have no idea where I picked up this info. In Peter Cornwell's book BoF-T&N this a/c is given as down SW of Dunkirk. Hope this helps. Regards, Rudi. |

Re: KG 1 He 111 Dixmude
Thanks gentlemen. The aircraft is definitely coded V4+JL and it has considerable battle damage. When Peter Cornwell is back up and running, I am sure he will point us in the right direction
