Pilot Hasso Osterwald / Eastern front

Hi,
I am searching informations about this pilot : Hasso Osterwald who fought on Eastern front: 2./SchlG 1:
1- His death occured on 7 or 8 December 1942 ?
2- The crash is Morosowka (Belarus today/ fare from Front !?) or Morosowki (Russia) ?
3- What was the mission of his nit on that day ?

Thank you very much

Regards
Phil.

Hello Phil,
from the VdK-database:
8.12.1942, 2km S of Morosowka, buried in Rossosch/Don in Russia

Maybe it helps,

Heuser

... which would be in the Stalingrad area. Here a quote from an article about SchG1 by Henry L. deZeng IV:
"
[...]
The Soviet counter-offensive at Stalingrad erupted on 19 November causing total surprise and mayhem. Four Bf 109E-7s were lost between 30 November and 19 December, at least two of these to Soviet fighters, as the [first] Gruppe was forced back to Millerovo.

The phonetical translation would be Morozovka. Try that one, too.
