Michal, the crew of 701692 (S3+CH) were all killed when their aircraft was shot down by AA from 500 feet, after dropping its supply containers. The 'K' report gives the crash site as 5km. N/E of Gravelines at 2251hrs.
The 'K' report noted the pilot Ofw. Bernhard Kowalski carried a Red Cross Ausweis issed by Luftwaffen Kommando West. Paris on 23-6-1940. All I have for 4416 on the 10-12-44 is the NVM which shows the crew of Uffz. Leonhard Albrecht as missing, Regards Brian Bines |
