Thanks Khorat, I also believe it must be the Montebaur area. This could be the crash.

Page 281: According to ULTRA Reports two Fw 190A-8 of III./JG 11 made belly landings on 1.1.45; WNr. 733770 near Sonnenkahl (?) and WNr. 960460 near Unterbauer

I received the same information from a fellow researcher, the crash location was given with Oberelbert - 01.01.1945, 190, belly landing, pilot unhurt. What is your source?

found in my notices - got the info from a old woman several years ago, together with several other crashes - belly landings in that area.

also writes down: "the pilot was realy mad, b´cause all his comrades go for a big mission - and he must stay back..........."

but the notice older then 15 years now..
