III./JG 302

Hi!

Who was the first (and only?) Kommandeur of III./JG 302?

According to Willi Reschke in his book,it was Major Ewald Janssen (renaming the III./JG 300 in III./JG 300 in Sept.43)

Yes but it's erroneous, Ewald Janssen transfered from Kommandeur of I./JG 300 to Kommodore of JG 302 on 26 October 1943.

III./JG 300 (who would become III./JG 302) last know (for sure) Kommandeur was Hans-Joachim von Buchwald who was killed on 1st September 1943 and was apparently replaced by Max Langer who was killed on 23 September 1943. We still have to found who replaced him, before or after the unit was renamed.
