Ju 87 shot down by AA south of Kaunas, 22 June 1944

Hello,

A local source tells me that on 22 June 1944 a Ju 87 was shot down by Soviet AA fire 20 km south from Kaunas and both crew were killed.

Can someone confirm this and give me the details of this loss ?

Are you sure about the combination of date and place? By then, the frontline still far away to the East as operation "Bagration" just started.

End of July would be more probable.
