Thanks as ever for your pointers. The Bf 109 you spotted is Erla Leipzig built Bf 109 G-6 W.Nr. 15 214 "Weisse 6", 4./JG 53, photographed at La Marsa, Tunisia, after 7 May 1943. Source: collection Jeff Chapin.
