A Heinkel 177 plate
This plate comes from a Heinkel 177 that crashed in France in 1944.
Can some one around here tell me more about this plate ? where was it mounted ? Thanks a lot GC |
Re: A Heinkel 177 plate
Hi Gilles,
I can't help with its purpose, but your Hersteller code "htw" = "Avog" Fabrik für Autozubehör, Inh. Holland & Mühlschlegel/Zündumformer, Motor für Durchladevorrichtung MG151,Stuttgart-O Ulrichstr. 1 [BW] Respectfully, Steve Sheflin |
Re: A Heinkel 177 plate
Hi Gilles,
this plate is from a so called "Zündumformer" Fl.47410 which directly translated means Ignition Converter. They were probably used in the weapon systems. Those parts are pretty common and can be found on ebay: https://www.ebay.de/itm/FL47410-FL-4...p2047675.l2557 Best regards Christoph |

Re: A Heinkel 177 plate
Salut Gilles!
Is this the KG 100 machine that you found and is mentioned onto Robas book about the Wiking Flying Unit or another one (maybe KG 40)? Have you matched the werknummer and unit yet? Adriano B. |
Re: A Heinkel 177 plate
Bonjour mon ami brésilien !
no, it is not an A/C mentionned in JL. Roba's book, it is a He1777 from Wekusta 2 that crashed in the South West in France. WNr. is not 100% sure, we work on it. Be patient, I shall write some article about this finding. All best from Toulouse; Gilles |
