Aviation graveyard uncovered in Ohio
Dear All,
Just saw these photos of a post-WW II aircraft graveyard in Ohio. Amongst aircaft seen are an F7U Cutlass, F-86D, "B-25, a Vultee BT-15 Trainer, a Goodyear FG-1D Corsair with an experimental engine, and even a clubhouse that his kids used to use, made out of a Fairchild c-82 Boxcar fuselage." The aircraft were collected together by Walter Soplata, who scooped up aircraft for a song to preserve them, rather than them being put in the smelter. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/0...6pLid%3D484609 Enjoy. Interesting, Richard. THX I wonder why the family has refused to sell the planes to museums? Surely, the could get some decent bucks. Sooner or later the scrap metal people will find them.

Re: Aviation graveyard uncovered in Ohio
From what I have read elsewhere, they have donated more than one plane to a museum only to have the museum sell it off later.
