Re: part to identify

They look like a set of wing or fuselage 'structural trueness' sight gauges to me.

It was a quick and simple test to see if the pilot bent (overstressed) the wings or tail of the aircraft.

The wrench is a wrench.

I really wish I knew the actual dimensions of these things.

And a little background (his)story of the parts... is also appreciated.
Any connection with your former posts?

Agreed. If that is a set of sight gauges they are important.

Hi Tolesa,

as ClinA78 points out, it would be nice to have some background about this part:

is it a wreck that you found ?
where ?
what is the story behind : (if known): what happened ? when ? why ? etc..

It is always nice to catch the human dimension of an aircraft.

All best

Re: part to identify

Gilles, hello, this part comes from a former Luftwaffe airport, was given to me by a former civilian employee when he was cleaning up in the garage. I don't know more about him, unfortunately. I suppose it's from a plane that was there during the war because the man worked at the airport since 1946 and found a fragment of the same year.
