Stephan Carl Miller enlisted at March Field on September 1, 1942 as a Private ASN 19091473: He graduated from Advanced Glider Pilot training on Aug 12, 1943 and was promoted to the rank of Flight Officer, T-122488. He was promoted twice during active duty and left service with the rank of 1st Lieutenant, O-926530 . Served active duty from 8/12/1943 to 9/14/1945 as a flying instructor. On 7 April 1945 he was sent to Laurinburg Maxton for infantry training and went through Baer Field in preparation to be shipped overseas to the European Theater. His orders were revoked due to the end of the war in the ETO. He was probably preparing now to go to Japan but the bomb in August 1945 ended the war
