Time to love, time to die .

its a UIP movie ( antiwar movie, made 1957) based on Erich Maria Remarques novel " Zeit zu leben, Zeit zu sterben. ( leben instead lieben )
just for interest. was the movie a success in the US or the UK ?

IMO the movie is well done for its time.
any more opinions ?
