Information concerning Flying Officer Tom Danby DF
 
Hi,

Can anyone provide information on the lancasters and crew that Flying Officer Tom Danby flew with in 101 Squadron and 166 Squadron.

I know that he completed 2 tours and was a gunnery expert who also flew RAF B 17s.

Hello,


Between 9 January and 9 April 1943, 111100 F/O Thomas Ramsey Danby, DFC, flew 27 operations with No. 101 Squadron as the MU gunner in the crew of 101034 F/Lt John Roscoe Tuckwell, DFC.


Of those 27 trips, 20 were in Lancaster ED373 (lost 25/26 June 1943 with another crew)

Hi,

Earlier reply in thread talks about 27 sorties but not sure where he picked the other 12 from to be awarded DFC?

We're they all then ferry flights?
