14/KG2, 20th December 1943

I know this has been discussed before (http://forum.12oclockhigh.net/showth...ighlight=baack), but the thread has been locked so I can't post my question to it.

Lt. Heinz-Günter Baack is buried at Cannock Chase 4-16-213.

My question is, does anyone know where Baack was originally buried before being re-intered to Cannock Chase?

Not sure you expect to find anything-burial returns if available will only confirm he was buried there. There were 2 other Germans also in the cemetery

Thank you for your interest Chris. You are right, I was going to visit Northiam to find out if there were any other German airmen buried there during the war. Luckily, you have answered my question (3 airmen), so I no need to go there now!
Please, please, please, can you tell me the names of the other 2 airmen?
Kind regards,
Steve

I didn't say they were airmen. Gefr Herbert Memenga (25 Jan 22-14 Oct 42) and Gefr Gustav Losekann (27 Jul 13-14 Oct 42)

Both German Navy, recovered from the Channel, but why they were buried at Northiam is another question?

Thank you very much Chris and Joe for the information. Northiam is 8 miles from the coast, so thats very odd. Would be interesting to know what happened on the 14th October 1942, but I guess this is not the place for that dicussion.
