Any idea why they were using the G-3 recon variant in a Zerstörer unit normally equipped with G-2s?
Shortage of G-2s so the G-3s were modified an uparmed to G-2 standard? Or were they misued as rocket ships with WGr 21? |

The new II./ZG 76 was formed during late July 1943 by three former (H)-Staffeln, all equipped with the Bf 110G-3. These aircraft were replaced step by step by the G-2 destroyer version until October.
