Sqn Ldr Peter Hearne DFC
 
Has passed away aged 98. Credited with 5 destroyed, all while flying the Mustang, four being Me109s the other a Fw190. Also had 1 probable and 4 damaged. Awarded the DFC shortly after hostilities ended.

Date of passing? Has anyone located an obituary? I believe he was living in Essex.

He passed away on January 11 of this year.
