Wing Leaders -North Weald 1941
 

Hi Gentlemen,
I am currently researching RAF Wing Leaders 1941- 43 and see quite a few omissions ,errors etc in published sources so i am about to embark on a series of posts, starting with North Weald.

W/C. R.G Kellett ...................... March 1941 - July 1941
( An experienced combat leader ex 249, 303 Squadrons)
W/C. J.W.Gillan..........................July 1941 - KIA 29 August 1941
( Pre-War O/C 111 Sqd, the 49 Sqd on Hampdens )
W/C. J.S.McLean........................Aug 1941 - ?????- Posted to Med sending Spitfires to Malta from Aircraft Carriers
( Experienced with 111 Sqd )

The next name I have is W/C. Tony Eyre shot down and PoW 08 March 1942.
Any information on who was Wing leader between McLean and Eyre ?
