Photos/Drawings needed of a late Me109 Aluminum Vertical Stab (Tall Type)

Hey guys,

The Me109 had 3 variants of "Tall Tail". That included:

1) a standard G6 aluminum vertical stabilizer with a "cap" that extended the tail.

2) a tall aluminum vertical stabilizer (no cap needed)

3) a tall wood vertical stabilizer (no cap needed).

#1 and #3 are the most common, there are many photos, as well as surviving examples...however...I have never seen the all aluminum tall tail that was not the converted G6 type with the cap...

Does anyone have any good photographs, or preferably any drawings of this type of tail?

TIA

Mike
