Known aircraft flown by Gunther Seeger - JG2 and JG53
 

Hello Everyone!!

I was curious to know if anyone could identify any known aircraft that were flown by Gunther Seeger when he flew in either JG2 or JG53.

In particular, his Messerschmitt Bf-109E that he flew during the Battle of Britain. I am also interested in the aircraft that Seeger flew in JG53.

Any recommended photos or profiles would be greatly appreciated.

..Seeger gets some coverage in the Mombeek/Roba/Goss JG 2 history (Vol 1) - IIRC there are a number of pics of him in front of a heavy mottled 'White 9'. Otherwise try Avions magazine - issue 137 - for a complete overview of Seeger's career (Mombeek article)

You can find black and white photos of aircraft flown by Seeger when he was with JG 53 in Vol II of Jochen Prien's history of that Jagdgeschwader on pages 609 and 702. The first photo was taken on Sicily in the period mid-May to early July 1943. The second was taken in Italy in October of that same year.
