Junkers Jumo 211 Recovered Today

This was apparently pulled up in fishing nets off Alicante today.

Junkers Jumo 211. Would appear to be ex-Heinkel 111.

A suggestion has been made that this was from a Spanish Air Force CASA 2.111´s, either an A, C, or F model, which were fitted with the Jumo 211 before Merlins were acquired.

It would certainly make far more sense, given the location. So, probably no Luftwaffe connection at all.
