Apparently (microfilms are absent,where dumb),several claims are made this day by JG2.

Cat E W/O K.Korber (K) 310°Sqd. Spit Vc:EN 960 By 8/JG2
Cat A P/O S.Peroutka (W) 310°Sqd. Spit Vc:EE 768 By 8/JG2

British losses:Somme Estuary 07h10-08h15
Cat E Sgt W.East (K) 41°Sqd Spit XII:EN 612

One of you knows more?What does J.Prien say in his series,mine stops at 9/II

JFV Vol. 10/IV:
Stab/JG 2, I./JG 2 and II./JG 2 no claims.
III./JG 2 one claim.
03.05.43 8./JG 2 Ofw Josef Bigge Spitfire n.b. (= nicht bestätigt/not confirmed).

It would appear that Sgt East was a victim of Lt Waldemar Radener of 4./JG 26

Hi all, this claim was not confirmed, because Ofw Bigge did not see fall of the Spitfire NNoX EN960. W/O Karel Körber (Czech) jumped from damaged plane (enfine fail) in half way between brest and England and release the parachute to high. Probably stunned by a blow to the surface and next drowned. Remembered on panel 134 of Runnymede memorial.
