I have the same info, and first name Hans-Joachim. No known Allied claims for a jet that day.

Thank you Dan.

I have also a possible date of 23. Could that make sense? The 29. was rather bad weather so maybe there was not much action.

Hi
Jurleit in his book states this Me 262 was lost on either the 23rd or 29th.
Obviously there is a badly handwritten report that is hard to read somewhere.

No USAAF/RAF units reported any Me 262 victory on the 29th, but RAF was more active on the 23rd and the following pilots made claims
F/O Yeardley 126Sq 1 Me 262 dest
F/L Watt 129Sq 1 Me 262 dam
W/O Pietrzak 309Sq 1 Me 262 dam
(Me 262 combat diary)

Checking Classic's Me 262 books vol 3 does not support Jurleit and does not mention any loss of the Luftwaffe either on the 23rd nor 29th, but speculates Yeardly's victory on the 23rd "probably was vs I./JG 7"

Main problem with the four-volume Classic books are their lack of any productionlist and/or loss list. What they have is all in a flowing text.
IF they have anything on WNr 111948 it is VERY hard to find, since you have to go through a substantial number of pages to locate it...

Thank you Stig. I think progress is being made. This particular bird was supposed to have crashed near my "old" home town. Thank you for the info.

Reagards,
